NB

Nicola is a writer and filmmaker. Her plays have been commissioned /produced by the Royal Court, Manchester Royal Exchange, Sheffield Crucible, the egg at Bath Theatre, Unicorn, Theatre of Debate, Resonance FM, BBC Radio 3 & 4, and have won the George Devine award, Time Out theatre award, twice shortlisted for Susan Smith Blackburn Prize and four times for BBC Audio awards. She's written original TV single dramas for new writing strands on ITV/BBC, several episodes of ITV series, and pilot scripts for United / Mammoth and World Productions/Skreba Films. She's an MGCfutures bursary recipient and 'fostered' by the Adopt A Playwright Award.

She has directed music videos, dance films and several short dramas. Her collaboration with NHS healthcare scientists and artists The Nosocomial Project won the CSO Partnering Patients and Citizens award from the Chief Scientific Officer of NHS England. She recently wrote and directed The Nervous State. Details below.​

Nicola's new play WASTELAND is being developed with the Adopt-A-Playwright Award and she's writing THE CARNEGIE 10 for NT Connections. She's an alumna of The Writers Lab with her sci-fi feature script BLACK MOSS which she is developing among other feature and TV ideas.
